The 11th arrondissement of Paris: a dynamic area

Between Nation, Bastille and République, the 11th arrondissement of Paris is one of the liveliest in the capital. Guests at the Chemin Vert Hotel, you get a plethora of restaurants, bars, theaters, but you are also close to some of the best sights of Paris.

It will have to walk a few minutes to walk the steep streets of the beautiful cemetery of Pere Lachaise and enjoy the view of the City of Light in the heights. L’Atelier des Lumières

L’Atelier des Lumières is located 50 meters from the hotel. This former foundry, founded by the brothers Jacques François Alexandre and Hilaire Pierre Plichon, was rediscovered in 2013 by the creator of the Carrières de Lumières in Les Baux-de-Provence, Bruno Monnier, who turned it into an exhibition space.

You can discover several exhibitions, including works by Gustav Klimt.

Pere Lachaise Cemetery

Hotel du Chemin Vert Paris is located minutes from Pere Lachaise cemetery. This is the largest cemetery in Paris and one of the most famous in the world. Located in the 20th arrondissement of the city, many famous people are buried there. This cemetery is a historical monument since 24 June 1993.

Throughout your visit, you will have the opportunity to observe many tombs men and famous women. Here are some names: Honore de Balzac, Guillaume Apollinaire, Frédéric Chopin, Colette, Jean-François Champollion, Jean de La Fontaine, Molière, Yves Montand, Simone Signoret, Jim Morrison, Alfred, Edith Piaf, Camille Pissarro, Oscar Wilde.

Two centuries after its opening, the Pere Lachaise cemetery became a tourist attraction as well as the Eiffel Tower or the Arc de Triomphe. With 70,000 graves, the cemetery Père Lachaise is a veritable outdoor museum, a living witness of funerary art through the centuries.

The Bataclan in Paris

The Chemin Vert Hotel Paris is located just steps from the Bataclan. This theater was built by the Parisian architect Charles Duval in 1864, and is at 50 Boulevard Voltaire in the 11th district. It was declared a historic monument March 11, 1991.

It originated, Bataclan was a great cafe concert of Chinese architecture, with a cafe and theater on the ground floor and a large dance hall upstairs.

Bataclan is directed since 2004 by Jules Frutos and Olivier Poubelle.

Today the Bataclan in full swing: comedy, variety, French / international and trendy parties succeed…
